The first London Confession of faith

Baptist Confessions of Faith previous to the 17th Century are difficult to find because of the sever persecution the churches of Christ suffered. It was not until 1644 before we find a true Baptist Confession of Faith being publicly published. From 1644-1652 we can find several revisions of what is called the First London Confession of Faith. The next confession, the 1689 and the 1742 is considered the Second London Confession of Faith and it is much more popular with the Reformed Baptist movement.

We have gathered here those Confessions of Faith that would be considered of the First London Confessions of Faith and subsequent Confessions that are direct descendants of those Confessions and truly Baptist in origin.
